Thor Comic Con trailer

thor movie odin The guards of Asgard haven’t been doing their job properly as the 5 minute Thor trailer from Comic Con has landed on Earth. As the trailer hasn’t been released officially it might not be around for long, so check it out while you can.

Thor finished filming in May and has 1 year of post-production in total, which is probably why there aren’t many flashy effects shots in the trailer. What we do see, however, is very cool and gives us a sense of where director Kenneth Branagh is heading. I can also see the Thor world fitting well with Iron Man, which I was unsure about before.

What do you think of the trailer?

This definitely adds hope to the void of skepticism that the initial screenshots brought along. I wondered how a thespian like Branaugh would handle a comic book universe. So far it looks good, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few lines of Shakespeare got thrown in there.
Can't wait to see any images from Captain America. Keep it coming Marvel.

Wasn't really a fan of it. Don't get me wrong it looked good, with some nice drama and aesthetic and I'm sure that it will do well in theaters.

However – Thor looked too pretty, too metro. Pardon me for thinking that he should look a bit more rugged and tough. It would be nice to see a Man's man back on the screen. The design of the hammer was a literal translation from the comic – which doesn't look badass on screen, looks like Mattel made it.

Thor looks awesome. And by “awesome” I mean it will be loud and fast and forgettable. Like 99% of awesome.
