The Green Hornet trailer

green hornet movie The first official trailer for The Green Hornet has been released online. In the film Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid whose father mysteriously dies, leaving him his vast media empire. Britt teams up with one of his father’s employees named Kato (Jay Chou), and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz).

It doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would. There have been some negative reports that have surfaced following Columbia’s decision to push it back to January and convert it into 3D, but it looks pretty watchable. Although I wouldn’t have thought Michel Gondry is the man behind it.

Watch the trailer below:

Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz seem a bit underused but that may be different for the next trailer. After winning an Oscar for Inglourious Basterds Waltz has jumped onto the radar of many movie-goers so they will be wise to show a more of him in the marketing.

What do you think of the trailer?

Looks watchable indeed, Seth Rogen probably won't do justice to that role, but no doubt I'll give it a watch to see how it goes.

Horrible. What was Sony thinking with Rogen and what were they thinking when they decided to go in the direction they did with the movie?

I think it looks great. Hopefully Seth will show more range than just jokes about weed. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, funny as hell, but I hope he can get dramatic. It kind of had an Iron Man feel to it, doesn't take itself too seriously, yet is able to feel realistic. I'm very excited for it, providing they stop changing the release date, lol.
