The Sherlock Holmes trailer has arrived!

The trailer for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes is now online! Among many things seen in the 2 minute 18 second montage, some shots we see include: Rachel McAdams in a corset, 300-style slow mo shots of Holmes punching a guy in the face and Holmes being sexually suggestive towards a maid. Watch below!

It looks better that what I expected. However, my only complaint is Downey’s accent. Being an Englishman myself I can tell that it’s a bit off, but he has obviously worked hard on it so I can live with it.

his accent throws me off Americans cant pull of a British accent right but British and Australian actors can pull of an American accent. also i feel that Jude Law should of been Sherlock Holmes instead he looks the part but anyway this movie looks good funny and RDJ will entertain us in this movie and im glad Guy Ritchie is back. i knew that Madonna was holding Guy Ritchie back no he left her it seems his back on form

Totally man, Guy is back with this one.
  • This movie looks horrible. I have been a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes for many years. I've read all of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Holmes stories many times and have seen many movies based on them. Some of the movies have been okay, some tolerable, some fantastic and some horrible. I've seen a couple of trailers for this one and I am afraid it will be horrible. Robert Downy Jr. was great as Ironman, but he can't play Holmes. I saw enough in the trailers to make me certain I won't spend a penny on this film. Not even a DVD rental.

Why didn't they get someone who is good at playing Holmes like James D'Arcy or Matt Frewer. They both did versions of Sherlock Holmes stories within the last 10 years and were really good. Especially Frewer. He did several stories for Hallmark Entertainment and now that Jeremy Brett has passed away (sadly), I'd say he's the best choice for the role.

I will go and see this movie because it looks like it will be a good movie. Especially with RDJ, lol.

Though it does look like a good movie, I don't think it will be even remotely close to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, so I will not go see the movie because I am a Holmes fan (which I am, not a big one; I haven't read the complete works yet), but I will go and see the movie because it looks entertaining.

(Side note: I think it would be hilarious if they had Hugh Laurie to play Holmes. Not a serious consideration, but an amusing one)
