Columbia Pictures have released the second official trailer for After Earth, the upcoming sci-fi movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan which stars Will Smith and Jaden Smith. This new trailer provides more context as to why the father/son duo find themselves alone on a wild and dangerous planet Earth, and as the CGI is coming along we get glimpses at new creatures and action scenes.
This looks quite promising, but judge for yourself by watching the trailer below:
A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
After Earth will be released June 7, 2013 and also stars Zoë Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo, and Isabelle Fuhrman.
