Nicolas Cage in talks for Green Hornet

nicolas cage According to Variety Nicolas Cage is in talks to play the gangster villain in The Green Hornet. When I first read the news I misread it as the Green Lantern and mouthed the words ‘oh dear God’, however when my eyes stopped confusing me and I realised it was just the comedy movie of a superhero not many people care about, I warmed to the idea. Variety also confirm the news that Cameron Diaz is in talks to join the cast. She will play a reporter and love interest to Seth Rogen’s Hornet.

The picture is moving full steam ahead for a fall start date, even as the studio looks to replace Stephen Chow, who was going to play sidekick Kato. Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote the script and Neal Moritz is producing through his Original Films banner.

  • he won an oscar 13 years ago, and ever since he's been whoring himself out to the biggest paycheck. he's become such a joke with his crap remakes and pointless sequels. 10 years ago i would respect as an actor, but now he's just paycheck acting. and the audience can tell. i'm so irritated when crap actors like him keep getting cast for the sake of a "big name" even though his resume is filled with junk.

They better cast a very good martial artist for Kato! I mean, damn, when Bruce Lee was alive he played Kato and, of course as was expected, he kicked serious ass! I'm against Rogen as the Hornet, but if Kato's well cast, it could actually become a good movie.
