If you’ve seen Seth Rogen recently and thought “he is less fat..why?”, the answer to that is The Green Hornet. He lost lots of body fat for the role of a crime-fighting hero in the film, however at one point it looked like it was all for nothing after Stephen Chow pulled out of directing. Now, according to THR Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry is in talks to direct.
Since Chow’s departure, the project has been the subject of speculation that it was sliding into development hell, but the studio is intent on making the feature one of its 2010 tentpoles.
The choice of Gondry, the helmer behind off-the-beaten-path films such as “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “The Science of Sleep” and “Be Kind Rewind,” signals that the creative direction the studio and the film’s producer, Neal Moritz, are trying to take the project is one not usually associated with the usual crime-fighter movie.

Seth Rogan as the Hornet!?! Eat my ass!!!!! Thanks for taking a favorite childhood memory and turning it to shit! The fat he lost isn't the issue. It wasn't replaced by acting talent that is for sure. Somebody please tell Apatow to keep his golden buoy all to himself.
Seth ROGEN (ntac). Apologies.
I love Gondry. His part of Tokyo! is surreal, but humane(and funny as hell). Its like Kafka on film(but, again, funnier).
The Tokyo! DVD drops June 30th (i think). You can pre-order and catch the trailer on the website http://tokyothemovie.com/
