We’ve known that jOBS, the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher, was due to hit theaters this April for a few weeks, but now we know the exact date and it’s a significant one. The film is now set to open in theaters on April 19th, which just happens to be the same day Apple was founded.
This April 19th marks the 37th anniversary of the date Steve Jobs founded Apple. The founding of the company will be chronicled in the film, which will follow Jobs from a college dropout to the famous entrepreneur we all knew. jOBS will premire as the closing night film at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25th.
The movie is being released by Open Road Films and Mark Hulme’s Five Star Feature Films and was directed by Joshua Micheal Stern and written by Matthew Whitley. Kutcher, who certainly looks the part, has been getting a good response from insiders who have seen the film.
