Jamie Bell and Anthony Mackie join Sam Worthington in Man On A Ledge

Jamie Bell (Defiance) and Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) are in talks to join Sam Worthington in Man On A Ledge according to Deadline.

The crime drama follows a cop (Worthington) who is thrown in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Let out for his father’s funeral, he escapes and ends up on a hotel ledge threatening to kill himself. Bell will play his brother, who happens to be planning a heist of a jewelry store across the street while the cop threatens suicide.

Anthony Mackie will play the disgraced cop’s ex-partner. Amy Adams (Julie & Julia) is also thought to be interested in playing a psychiatrist who tries to talk the cop off the ledge and develops feelings for him, but no deal is done yet. If she joins it will be quite a talented cast.

Asger Leth will direct and the script by Pablo Fenjves is currently being rewritten by Red scribes Erich and Jon Hoeber. Man on a Ledge begins filming November in New York, and Summit Entertainment will probably be setting a release date soon.
