Warner Bros. released a full blown teaser trailer for its summer 2014 blockbuster, Godzilla. Yes, they are at it again only this time Matthew Broderick is nowhere to be seen. On the other hand Heisenberg is there so I guess Godzilla should start running, away from him.
Watch the trailer below:
Breaking Bad jokes aside, this is a pretty awesome looking trailer. We even get a few glimpses of the monster and honestly, I hope that’s all we get until the movie is out. I’d rather see the beast myself on the big screen. And yes, unless something goes horribly wrong (like 10% on Rotten Tomatoes wrong) I will probably check this one out the way it was meant to be seen, between angry teens texting and laughing at their unfunny jokes about what happens on screen, also known as a theater.
So what is Godzilla about you ask? Oh come on, you can’t possibly be for real, right? I mean a big monster goes to town on a city/country or something, that’s about all one needs to know.
Godzilla is directed by Gareth Edwards (2010’s low budget indie Monsters) and starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Elizabeth Olsen (the Olsen sister that can act), Bryan Cranston (the one that knocks), Juliette Binoche and Ken Watanabe (cause Gojira is Japanese after all) among others.
Godzilla opens on May 16th 2014 worldwide.
On a scale from “don’t care” to “I already pre-order my tickets”, how excited for the movie has this trailer made you?
