We started writing about Lawless here back in 2010, when it used to be called The Wettest County in the World. At one point, names like Ryan Gosling, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, and Paul Dano were all in talks to join, but despite development struggles over the years, Australian director John Hillcoat finally found enough funding to pull the project together. A true story about three bootlegging brothers, the finished product has a terrific cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain, and Mia Wasikowska.
