Zombie Info has a heads-up on A.D. from creator Haylar Garcia. You can watch the newly released teaser trailer below, and take a look at the awesome poster here.

You can’t really gather much about the plot from the teaser – just that there will be zombies, and that these zombies will be killed in a bloody manner. But we knew that already. It reminds me of Left 4 Dead. The distinctive art style stands out however, and while I don’t really like the character designs (they look too “gangly” in my opinion), the lighting and the setting are absolutely beautiful, as is some of the cinematography.

A.D.‘s only just appeared on my radar, but there are some cool people involved in the project – the teaser was directed by Ben Hibon (games Heavenly Sword and Killer 7), and produced by Bernie Goldmann (Land of the Dead, 300). These guys certainly know what they’re doing visually (the look alone will be able to separate A.D. from all other zombie flicks), so let’s hope the plot can stand up to the aesthetics.

Creator and writer Garcia says he hopes to develop “the unstoppable godfather of all zombie films.” Better than Shaun of the Dead?! I’m not gonna stop him trying…

Zombie Info has the full interview with Hibon, Garcia, Goldmann, and second producer Tarik Heitmann.
