harry vs voldemort In June Harry Potter producer David Heyman confirmed that they had finally decided where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I would end, and that it will be “incredibly dramatic” and “very moving”. He remained quiet on the specifics, however an article in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly confirms the split location.

[Spoilers below] from SnitchSeeker:

Part I, by the way, will end at about Chapter 24 of the book, with Voldemort gaining possession of the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows that allow the bearer to conquer death.

I love this ending. From the “incredibly dramatic” and “very moving” hints it was originally thought Part I would end just after Dobby’s death, but it looks like they have added a scene onto that where we see Voldemort opening up Dumbledore’s tomb and stealing the Elder Wand (we may have seen glimpses of this in the last trailer). This would be an emotional ending as the trio are mourning the death of Dobby, and dramatic as we see Voldemort gaining power.

What do you think of this ending?
