When Liev Schreiber was originally cast in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, people thought he would be playing a younger version of Stryker, played by Brian Cox in X2. However, it turned out Liev was in fact playing Sabretooth, which left the role wide open. Rumours of Dexter’s Michael C. Hall floated around briefly, but now it appears the role belongs to Danny Huston. Joblo say that he is already on location in New Zealand prepping for his part. Danny Huston has had roles in The Kingdom, Children Of Men, and more recently, 30 Days Of Night. Huston is around 20 years younger than Brian Cox, so it all fits rather well, however trying to step into Brian Cox shoes will be tough. We’ll see.Expect more Wolverine news and info as it comes.
