I remember reading somewhere that James Cameron was working with Panasonic to develop a 3D TV/DVD player, which would be released the same time Avatar is on DVD/Blu-ray

i wonder how they'll go about releasing avatar on dvd? will it be normal 2d? new 3d home projectors? or forever available at imax theaters..

The trailer will almost certainly be released onto the internet (HD and regular), however it will be be 2D like the trailers for other 3D films. I am assuming they will show the trailer in 3D where the screens allow it.

I think you will need 3D glasses. Monsters vs Aliens required glasses so Avatar will probably be the same. The technology isn't that advanced yet :)

I still dont get a few things about the technical aspect of avatar…i mean for example…if there will be a trailer out…and ya can see it on the internet…will it look like in cinema? .. or will it look worse…would be a Full HD tft with the 1080p file of the trailer enough?…or will we only see the full quality of the trailer in the special cinemas where the movie will run anyway?

We definitely wont need glasses in cinema?…or would we use em in Imax and get even another more intensive experience? …

hmm dunno if there were already interviews according to that all….missed em if :/ …. somebody know more?
