Xmen 3 was the first time i saw act like they had their powers for a reason and could use them to back up said reason. The only other instance we've gotten of that is in the x saga are: 1. Nightcrawler's first five minutes in x2 (possibly the greatest comic book moment in film so far) 2. First mission in x men origins by the weapon x group. I just think they need to go straight from the comics with the stories, with maybe a few minor changes to take out un-needed camp and reference to things that dont need to be known. Characters, powers, and specific detail need to be respected and incorporated. What confuses me the most is the fact that when those things are given their due. the bigwigs end up making way more money than without. The only movie to suffer unrightfully for staying true to its source was watchman. However, I can understand why it suffered, but that understanding comes with a lot of references to the degradation of human intelligence. I digress.
