Wonder Woman Talk

Justice League isn’t happening, Superman is getting a darker reboot and Batman is expected to make a third outing…so where does that leave Wonder Woman? Well producer Leonard Goldberg, who has been trying to make a Wonder Woman movie since the 70’s, gave an update to Splash Page:

“We’re waiting for the script to come in,” says producer Leonard Goldberg (”Charlie’s Angels”), who’s working on the film alongside Joel Silver.

One rumored possibility: the Wachowski brothers (”The Matrix,” “Speed Racer”). “At one time, Joel [Silver] said they might have an idea. But they got diverted to another project [and] never followed through,” he said, before adding, “There may come a time when they will be focused on ‘Wonder Woman’ and may come up with whatever their take on it was. They’re certainly very talented guys. Their vision for movies — whether they’re successful or not — is always singular.”

Goldberg claims he and Silver haven’t started discussing the lucky lass who’ll play the super-powered Amazon royal, but notes, “I would go with a right unknown. People are not, in my opinion, going to come [to the theater] for the actress. They’re going to come for Wonder Woman.”

Actress Megan Gale had been cast as Wonder Woman in the now dead Justice League movie, and I think she would be a great choice. I expect we could get a Wonder Woman movie within the next 7 years, as Warner Bros are working their way towards a Justice League movie where we already know the characters, unlike their previous plan which was to throw them at us in one giant mess of a movie.

I think casting an unknown ala Christopher Reeve, is a great decision especially in Wonder Woman's case cuz I've been waiting for a WW film for years. Having said that when a WW movie was announced a few years ago the one actress that stuck in my mind for the part was Jennifer Connelly for her acting ability. If not her, then Megan Gale should fit the bill/

I've been waiting for a new live-action Wonder Woman since the day the original TV series went off the air back in the day! Then in the 90's there was this whole push to put a Wonder Woman series back on the air, auditioning women all across the U.S.. Rumor has it, they eventually gave the role to Alexandra Paul from Baywatch but it never got off the ground, so to speak. Now we have this on-again/off-again JLA flick that had given me some hope of seeing a live-action Wonder Woman again, portrayed by the stunning and statuesque, Megan Gale. Now that movie's in limbo, from what I've gathered, and the Joel Silver Wonder Woman film's script is getting yet ANOTHER re-tooling! The good news is Joss Whedon is off the project, because his take would have deviated WAAAAAAY too far from the iconic image of Wonder Woman for my liking. But like the JLA film, it seems like it's been in limbo for much too long now. Meanwhile Marvel kicks DC's ass in the superhero film genre. DC should be ashamed of themselves for dragging their heels on WW, JLA, and Superman (post-Returns).

Actually a dark skinned Wonder Woman would fit in with her origin. If I remember right she was created out of clay by queen Hypolita and brought to life by her magic. So she could have dark brown clay colored skin.

I'm glad they are putting off the movie production until they get things (writers, director, actors) right. The right actress is hanging around somewhere, and is probably not yet among the current stellar armament of Hollywood. She will appear soon, and it will be bigger and will pack more punch than any DC or Marvel comic book hero. Be happy Hollywood hasn't tripped on this project yet.

I think the one that's perfect for the role of Wonderwoman is the WWE womans champion Beth Phoenix. Im mean LOOk at her, she perfect all she need to do is dye her hair black that all. Try to locate her find her and have or talk to her for an interview lets hope and see if she wants to take the role of Wonderwoman.
