With every comic book movie, the casting has to be near perfect otherwise the world as they know it may come to an end. X-Men fans have been wanting Gambit in the movies ever since they were first talked about back in the 90’s. A trilogy later and all he got was a few pixels on a computer screen. Lost actor Josh Holloway apparently spoke out and said he had been approached for the role in X-Men 3, however the character was scrapped as producers thought his character was too similar to Wolverine. So where best for Gambit to make his on screen debut…the Wolverine movie!

According to Sunday Star Times actor Bailey Chase is in negotiations for a role.

“It’s very confidential and top-secret. I think they’re casting under alias names but for now, he’s called Mr Yellow.

“He’s about 30 years old, a charming southern guy on the surface but he’s got some ulterior motives going on underneath. By the end of the film, he’s probably not going to be such a nice guy.”

Could this be Gambit? Let us speculate!

Another casting rumour is that singer/actress Natalie Imbruglia has auditioned for a role in the film. The Australian Press have gone wild with the Wolverine casting. It is being filmed in their native lands and has Australian boy Hugh Jackman as the lead. They are reporting every…last…detail about anything. Its great. Wolverine will begin filming early next year. But with next year being a few days away, the filming will begin soon.
