Wolverine 2 to start filming in 2011

wolverine 2 japan Last year X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner said that out of all the upcoming movies Wolverine 2 was most likely to begin production first as The Usual Suspects writer Christopher McQuarrie was busy working on the script. The recent announcement that Bryan Singer will be directing X-Men: First Class probably means the two projects are now at similar stages of development, the only difference being First Class has a direct attached.

Well Hugh Jackman recently won the People’s Choice Awards for “Favorite Action Star” for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and backstage he revealed that Wolverine 2 would begin filming “probably in a year, year-and-a-half, something like that.” He also confirmed that he will be filming sci-fi robot boxing film Real Steel this summer.

I’m looking forward to X-Men: First Class more than another Wolverine film. We’ve had 4 already, and I don’t really want to wait 2 more years just to be disappointment again like last year. 20th Century Fox need to hire a director that will turn him into the raged loner from the comics, instead of getting him involved in all these love stories.
