According to ShockTillYouDrop Universal have pushed The Wolfman’s release date back yet again, from November 6th 2009 to February 12th 2010. This is the second time they have pushed the film back, as it was originally set to be released in April. I thought that the November release date was perfect for the film, and it’s only competition was 2012 (and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but that’s a different market). It’s new February release date means it will be going up against The Book of Eli, and Legion the following week.
The last we heard on The Wolfman was that they were re-shooting some scenes and adding more action, so that could be the reason for the delay. Hopefully these extra scenes will add to the film and it will be worth the wait, however there is something inside my brain thinking that it could be a case them overdoing it. The film got pushed back so they had time to add more, but they could have gone crazy with the CGI, resulting in the film needing to be pushed back again. I hope i’m wrong though.
