I know! The words what the hell come to mind. Will.i.am, a member of The Black Eyed Peas, has apparently joined the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to VARIETY. Yes, that’s Variety, as in those people who are paid to find out information, therefore it is probably true. I haven’t seen William James Adams, Jr. (his real name) act, which is probably because he hasn’t acted in anything, unless you accept music videos as part of a filmography. I’m not quite sure what to think of this, I mean so far we have great actors such as Liev Schreiber and Danny Huston on board, and now the director of Oscar winning Tsotsi has gone all Hollywood on us by hiring a hip hop artist.
Maybe Will.i.am is a great actor, but we just haven’t seen it yet. However, the chances are his role would not be too big. IESB think he will be playing John Wraith AKA Kestrel, a teleporting mutant who is a subject of the Weapon X program. The same Weapon X program which is responsible for Wolverines claws. You can read more info about Kestrel here.
It is certainly interesting casting. He looks the part. What are your thoughts?
