Wesley Snipes, the actor who beat the crap out of vampires in the Blade trilogy, ’should serve three years’ in jail according to prosecutors. Back in February Snipes was found guilty of failing to submit tax returns, although he was cleared of more serious charges, including fraud. In court, Snipes lawyers admitted he had been “dead wrong” and should have to pay the money back. But they denied any crime had been committed, saying Snipes had been open with the government about what he was doing.
Wesley will be sentenced on April 24, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. If he is given the maximum punishment of 3 years then I wouldn’t expect to see him on the big screen anytime soon. Well to be honest, all of his latest movies have gone straight to DVD, so he will not be missed too much.
