It’s not looking great for humanity in the best trailer yet for Transformers: The Last Knight. But don’t worry, Mark Wahlberg will certainly find a way to save the world, again.
“Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager, Bumblebee, an English Lord, and an Oxford Professor.”
I love that transformers looked like Knights in medieval times, because what else would they turn into, a wagon? There seem to be some very cool ideas here and even if I was generally negative on the first two trailers, I still want to see what they end up doing in The Last Knight. And really with the stakes this high in part 5, I’m probably more curious to find out how they move forward after this one. I mean you didn’t think they’d stop after The Last Knight, right? Paramount already have plans for at least three more.
Michael Bay once again directed (he says for the very last time, just like the last two times) while the The Last Knight‘s screenplay was penned by Art Marcum (Iron Man), Matt Holloway (also Iron Man) and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Starring in the 5th installment are Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Stanley Tucci, Sofia Myles, Ken Watanabe, John Turturro and many others. In the movie you’ll also hear the voices of John Goodman (Hound), Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and for the first time in the Bay Transformers movies Frank Welker as Megatron.
Transformers: The Last Knight drops June 23rd.
