Tron Legacy Photos

Firstshowing has found a secret stash of Tron: Legacy photos in the new Space Paranoids online game, and damn do they look cool. Apparently in the game (which is available for free online), you can find secret barcodes that when typed into a specific server, unlock new photos from the upcoming sequel to the beloved 80s classic, Tron.

If the photos and the previously released trailer are any indication, Legacy will be following in its predecessors footsteps as far as special effects go. The light bikes, in particular, seem as awe-inspiring as the original effects likely were to audiences circa 1982. And though it may be hard for it to top Avatar in technical advancement, the CGI rendering is nothing to be scoffed at. If you don’t believe me, check out the photos below.

Jeff Bridges (Tron, The Big Lebowski) will be taking on his old role alongside relative newcomer Garrett Hedlund (Eragon, Troy) who will be playing his son. While I had my own reservations at first (its not often such a delayed sequel is actually worthwhile), I’m now firmly anticipating the December 16th release date.
