Transformers: Dark of the Moon director Michael Bay confirmed earlier this week that we will be getting our first look at the third Transformers movie with The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on December 10th and Tron Legacy the week after.
However an early description of the teaser has been released, and it gives us a good idea of what to expect when the trailer eventually debuts online sometime next week.
From Italian movie site Badtaste:
Transformers: Dark of the Moon, from the teaser, plays on conspiracy theories related to the moon landing. The first part of the movie alternates images of the control room at NASA and of the astronauts on the moon. The landing is what we know well, including the famous words about the “giant leap for mankind.” But what we did not know was the journey of the astronauts to the dark side of the moon, until the control room tells them that “… we are not alone.” Then we see some Transformers. The camera comes close to the eye of one of them, which starts to flash. But the camera does not stop, and takes us inside the robot and its mechanisms, making us understand that it’s coming back into action.
So it looks like we won’t be seeing a whole lot of footage or explosions, but than again Bay did call it an “announcement piece”. It sounds quite similar to the very first trailer we got for Transformers:
In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. LaBeouf, who admitted he wasn’t impressed with the second film, said “there’s going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they’re targeting humans,” and says “It’s going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed.”
