Marvel decided to advertise both Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger during the Super Bowl, and here’s the TV spot for the first one. It’s basically a condensed version of the first teaser trailer for the film, but definitely worth the watch.
In the film Thor, a powerful but arrogant and reckless warrior, is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here Thor meets a young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world (Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston) sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh, will be released May 2011.
