The Last Airbender clip

last airbender trailer Not only did the MTV Movie Awards provide us with a sneak peak at Harry Potter and the Death Hallows, we were also given a 1 minute clip from The Last Airbender.

From all of the trailers and TV spots we have seen it is clear that M. Night Shyamalan has delivered a visual treat, however there has been a surprising lack of dialogue, especially from Aang himself. Hopefully there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this, and it’s not a cover up for poor dialogue.

The Last Airbender stars Noah Ringer as Aang, Dev Patel as Zuko, Nicola Peltz as Katara, and will be released on July 2nd.

    The effects look great but it's a shame Paramount Pictures and Shyamalan thought it was okay to discriminate against non-white actors in their casting call for the four main characters – particularly when the creators of the animated series explicitly stated their Avatar:The Last Airbender world was an Asian fantasy world.     The effects look similar to Price of Persia … in some ways … looks good … but I love the cartoon series too much … and if they remove Sokka's sarcasim then I'm out!

    Watch the movie first and then judge..get over it.. your going to watch the movie anyhow.. the four nations will all be different races… whatevs .. and jesse mccartney would have been a crime to be cast there but.. thankfully dev replaced him.. I get what your saying but it's a great cartoon just give the movie a chance.. geez. Kid playing Aang can fight and sorry but he looks just like him.. I just hope they all can act theyre parts..thats more of a concern personally.. thanks racebender!
