It's a pretty good direction. I do believe the whole shiny terminators and shiny Hk's and what-not in the original 2 movies are more of a product of the 80's than anything else. That was the style and how people would imagine the future, with laser weapons and shiny robots. The way McG is making all of the Terminators more of a gray than silver and the ships the same, it looks good I think.
