You are all stupid. Scene 16 Terminator 2. Cyberdyne Systems model 101. Also known as T-101. He plays the same model terminator in Terminator and Judgement Day. Terminator 3, he is an 850 with a different fuel source, that makes active mobility longer but is the largest achillies heel for the robot, and what you will see in the fourth and fifth movie lead to the downfall of the machines rein.

1)Why Pointless and inefficient to disguise the metallic robot to look like a human? Worked for the other three movies.
2)Hydrobot, how do you know they used the same metal? Its a 2-d picture. that could be a titanium alloy=VERY LIGHT
3)Have to agree with you there, the sheer mass of this robot using real-world physics would render this design virtually immobile. looks cool though, half the size and we’ve got a winner.
4)Mototerminator is probably one of the most practicle designs and would yield potentially devastating results, being extremely fast, maneuverable, and packing massive firepower by the looks of it.
5)So, once again, YOU FAIL.

Of course the potential toy line came before the movie. It’s Terminator 4 for God sakes. It’s all about the money.

And yes, I second your dismay about the mototerminator. I couldn’t think of a stupider character (name or design) if it was my job.

Reese explains the earlier attempts at infiltration units in The Terminator and how they were easily spotted due to their fake skin. It’s already been explained that Skynet ‘wasted’ such time. Evidently this one has been spotted and taken some damage.
