Tentative Spider-Man 4 Release Date!

Spider-Man 4 has a new tentative release date, but don’t expect it anytime soon.  According to Spider-Man executive producer Laura Ziskin, the web-slinger should be back in theaters in May… of 2011.

spiderman4 300x121 In remarks Thursday to theater owners from California and Nevada, Ziskin said there was no finished screenplay, but that she and Sony Pictures were hopeful “Spider-Man 4” could be ready in three years’ time.

The first three movies comprise one of the most successful franchises in modern Hollywood history, grossing a combined $2.5 billion worldwide. Neither star Tobey Maguire nor director Sam Raimi is yet committed to work on the next installment. But Sony has paid Marvel to renew its rights.

Hopefully, the extra time to think and plot will help make a better movie that SM3!

    What are you talking about? Spiderman 3 was awesome! Easily the best of all 3 parts!
    No! Just kidding! I hope they do a better job with SM4, part 3 gave me a hard time to watch, especially the part when Peter P. is in the audience watching MJ.
    I just watched it to the end because I always finish the movies i start to watch, no matter how bad they are.

    what a waste of time we have to wate another year to see the forth movei!!!!!!!! the third movei was wiked but you cant keep every one waiting an extra whole year for the spider man 4. and of all the great villans to choose from you choose vulcher! why not carnage lizard and mastyreo! why not the hob goblin black cat or the shoker what about rino or scorpion all those great villans
