After months of being referred to as ‘Tarsem Singh’s Untitled Snow White movie’ Relativity Media has announced the official title will be Mirror Mirror.
In a recent interview with Moviefone Singh said the delay in finding a title was due to “some legal stuff being sorted out” and if it were up to him he’d simply call it Snow, but the title is Relativity’s decision to make. Singh also said “it’s a fairy tale for children and the family” and he’s gone for a “sickeningly kiddie” style, which seems to be the opposite of Universal’s darker Snow White and the Huntsman.
Mirror Mirror, set for release March 2012, begins with the evil stepmother (Julia Roberts) killing Snow White’s father (Sean Bean) and destroying the kingdom. Snow White (Lily Collins) then bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarves to reclaim what is rightfully hers. Armie Hammer plays Prince Andrew Alcott and Nathan Lane plays Brighton, the Queen’s servant.
