It’s been a while since i’ve seen a well done trailer mash-up, so I was pleased when I got a link to this in my inbox today. Youtube user TM2Megatron has put together a trailer mash-up featuring the visuals of WALL-E, and using the audio from the Watchmen teaser trailer. As the Watchmen teaser trailer was so good it sparked a number of mash-ups but this is probably the best one i’ve seen. Watch below!

WALL-E writer/director Andrew Stanton told MTV that a sequel probably won’t be happening.

“Personally, I never consider sequels,” WALL-E writer/director Andrew Stanton told MTV News. “I think that takes a lot of hubris to think that your idea is going to live on and on, and I always love the idea of something just being contained and done.” But didn’t Stanton co-write the screenplay for “Toy Story 2”? Maybe there’s a chance someday for a second go at WALL-E?

Pressed if he had any ideas in mind for the characters in the animated feature, Stanton was blunt: “Not for me, no.”

“We work on these things for so long,” he explained, “that we have a hard time simply thinking that the [first] film is ever going to be done. I’m not against sequels, and I’ve certainly experienced personally and seen secondhand great sequels, but I don’t go in with that intent.”

WALL-E brought in a huge $532 million worldwide when it was released last year, so a second film would probably be a hit. However, it is good to see people thinking creatively, and not just seeing $$$ signs.

I thought I’d never see the day that a Pixar family animation would cause controversy, however it seems today is that day.

WALL-E has garnered rave reviews for its satire on consumer culture, in which future humans are depicted as a group of obese gluttons who never leave their padded floating arm chairs.

But one group is not amused – the swelling ranks of fat pride groups, who believe the film propagates anti-obesity hysteria comparable with the quest for the perfect body by the eugenics movement in Nazi Germany.

The anti WALL-E crusade began on the internet. Rachel Richardson of the Coalition of Fat Rights Activists (Cofra), used her blog, “The F-Word”, to object that the film “singles out and targets obese people as the primary cause of mankind’s demise.”

Dear angry fat people, if you spent as much time exercising as you do getting pissed over a kids film then you would be a healthy and less fat.

Friday box office estimates are in! Wall-E has shot out of the gates with a cool $23.3 MILLION, while Wanted is close on his heels with $18.7 MILLION…! If they keep this up, I’m going to say that Wall-E will rake in $80+ million this weekend, and Wanted will be in the upper $50 – lower $60 million! GREAT WEEKEND TO BE A MOVIE STUDIO!

…IT’S SO ADORABLE!

Here’s a three and a half minute clip from WALL-E, featuring an extended look at one of the scenes shown in the trailers.

Some have said that this might be a case of “cute overload,” but I don’t think that’s true… Pixar has a habit of being cute, and this only adds to that. Plus, this gives a good idea about how they’re handling the dialogue in this movie, which I have really been wondering about.

Pixar are known for putting Easter Eggs in their movies, but I never knew they were planned 15 years in advance!

Pixar are officially great. We may have thought it before, but now it is proven. These people plan their movies decades in advance, which is probably the reason they are all amazing. Unlike these other movies (Shark Tale, Barnyard etc) which are just other studios trying to compete. Bring on Up, Toy Story 3 and all the other movies they have been planning since the 90′s.

Update: Could be fake. But enjoy it nonetheless.
