The Dark Knight Vault!
Domino’s Pizza have launched “The Dark Knight Vault” where you can watch an extended trailer with new footage, along with a bunch of other stuff. Every time we get a new trailer I think that’s the final one, however Warner Bros just keep on giving, which is both bad and good depending if you want a Dark Knight overload or not.
The site is slow as hell at the moment, probably due to all of the traffic by footage hungry Batman fans, so if you have the patience click the image below!
Update: You can view the trailer here!
Gotham Tonight Spotlight On Bruce Wayne
A new featurette has popped up online for The Dark Knight, this one showing a news program, Gotham Tonight, on the GCN (Gotham City News Network). It highlights the life of billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, and judges whether or not his antics will help propel Wayne Enterprises into the future, or sink Gotham into a deep depression.

I have never seen viral marketing on this level. Keep it up Warner Bros.! Me likey!
New Clip Gives Us A Glimpse Of Two Face!
The latest viral campaign has revealed a new clip, which you can watch below. The clip lasts 36 seconds and we see a small glimpse of Two Face.
Enjoy!
Dark Knight Viral Marketing Strikes Again!
The people behind The Dark Knight have done an amazing job piquing The Internet’s - i.e. everyone on the internet’s - interest in the movie. From widgets and viral videos made specially for online viewers, to making-of featurettes and websites built specifically for characters in the film. I’m not sure if all of this is necessary, considering the massive success of the first film and the added value of the movie being Heath Ledger’s last completed movie (sadly), but it can only help.
Latest in the line of specialty websites is a site for the Gotham City Pizzeria. It looks like a simple pizza place, with a little information about the company and a menu of their food. However, take a closer look!
Put your mouse over the “HA” in “GOTHAM” and see what happens. Click on it for a surprise: a clip with Harvey Two-Face!
I’d guess this is going to be somewhere towards the end of the movie, which would be a nice set-up for movie three!
The Happening Has A Viral Campaign! Everyone Drops Down Dead!

Viral marketing is happening more and more recently, with almost every film having some here and there. The Dark Knight and Cloverfield viral campaigns stick out the most. Hancock has had some, as has Wanted. Now it appears M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening is getting in on the action..literally.
I have seen something like this before online, where a group of people get together in a public place and after a que they all freeze. They don’t move a muscles for 5 whole minutes and the look on the surrounding peoples faces is hilarious. The Happening have done something similar to this, as you can see below.
I think they should do this in every city! Although afterwards they should all take of their jackets and reveal The Happening shirts, so people know it is advertising for a movie and not the apocalypse.
Pretty cool viral marketing in my opinion. The movie is still expected to suck though, which is a shame.
Hancock Sightings!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, its a Hancock viral campaign!
Sightings of Hancock flying around have seen spotted. One involves a group of people rock climbing and the other involves a woman who is filming the sky…for some reason. The sound effects sound a bit cheesy but they are kinda cool.

The Dark Knight Viral Marketing Continues!
Its has become apparent now that there are usually a few weeks of nothing and then all of a sudden lots of viral marketing for The Dark Knight appears everywhere. There has been updates to existing viral sites, new viral sites and a new edition of The Gotham Times. There is also more, which I will allow SuperHero Hype to tell you:
UPDATE #1: The official Gotham Times website has updated to this new issue of the newspaper. Also, IBelieveinHarveyDent.com has received an update.
UPDATE #2: Talked about in the newspaper’s new issue, MaidenAvenueReport.com is also online.
UPDATE #3: GothamCableNews.com, Dana Worthington.com, CitizensforBatman.org and SaintsWithunsChurch.org have launched as well.
UPDATE #4: Be sure to e-mail some of the above sites to see what kind of replies you get!
UPDATE #5: GVAFoundation.org has been updated with a message from Dana Worthington.
UPDATE #6: Joker’s back too! Fans are receiving this text message from recruiting@rent-a-clown.com:
Hey clown! Long time, no crime spree! Well, put on your floppy shoes and answer this question: are you ready to get to work? (ReplyY/N)
If you reply Y, you’ll get back:
“Glad to see you’re still alive and kicking. I’ll be in touch before Poisson d’Avril.”
So, looks like we’ll hear from The Joker before April Fools’ Day (April 1).
UPDATE #7: GPDIAD.com has updated with officers of the month, while you can now call GothamCab.com at 1-877-530-2227 to hear a message about how they’ve shut down, something that was also mentioned in the new Gotham Times (the cabs were being used for mafia delivery jobs). As before, you can enter Breitup’s badge number (6773) when prompted at the end of the message for more.
Enough Of The Whips, Indiana Jones Gets A Widget!
The first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was apparently seen more than 200 million times worldwide in the first week alone, so it is safe to say that people will be interested in seeing the next one. If back in 1989 a marketing guy suggested using a ‘widget’ to promote Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, he would no doubt have been hit over the face and most likely fired instantly. However, now in 2008 the idea is held as genius and it is likely that a guy over at Paramount’s marketing department now has his own parking space.
If you divert your eyes to the right sidebar, you will see this ‘widget’. It includes access to Indiana Jones news, past trailers and will no doubt be hosting the next trailer whenever it arrives. I will be keeping it there until the trailer is released, but if they have more interesting things popping up on it then I will keep it there for a little while longer, so keep your eye on it.
You can also put the widget on your own blogs and any social networking sites you are on.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull can be seen in non-widget form on May 22nd!
IBelieveinHarveyDent.com Is Now Live!
Viral marketing for The Dark Knight is back! IBelieveinHarveyDent.com viral site is now live!
Gotham City is collapsing from a runaway crime wave and Harvey Dent can save it. But he has to run for District Attorney first, and the only way he’ll run is if he sees an outpouring of public support. So, let’s all get out there and show Harvey Dent he’s got support to take back Gotham! Let’s get those videos and pics coming!
We can do anything — the bigger and more creative, the better.
Be creative. Harvey Dent wants to see that we want change — and that we are ready to work for change. Harvey wants to see that people are ready to throw out the old, to break out of habits, to really do something new and different! Because that’s what taking back Gotham will take.
We’ll feature the best examples of great videos and pics on the site.
Basically its getting the public to promote the movie themselves, but yay for Batman viral sites!
