TMZ reports that Shia LaBouf was injured by a prop on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The site says he got a cut below his eyebrow that required stitches.

“After getting sewn up, he went right back to work. Injured hand, injured eyebrow — no problemo.”

Shia was lucky that there were trained medical professionals nearby.

This incident gives me flashbacks to the time Tom Hanks cut his finger on the set of Angels and Demons. We sometimes forgot that these brave actors are putting their lives on the line to provide us with entertainment…we should never forget that! Never!

With the surge of pictures, videos and reports from the Transformers 2 set involving Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and friends, it is easy to forget that there are other cast members who are as equally important (although not as youthful or good looking, hence the voice work). Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, used his vocal cords to give MTV an update on his Transformers 2 work.

“I’ve only done the opening,” voiceover legend Peter Cullen told MTV News, updating us on the lengthy process of recording lines for the film. “[Michael] Bay brought me in to get them started on some of the animation part of it. I think they require a voiceover for it, [and then] we’ll get into the main stuff more towards the end of the fall…November, perhaps.”

And while Cullen will remain off-camera, like in the first film, some of him will find a home on the synchronized face of his alter-ego, Prime. “They focus a camera on my mouth,” he exclaimed. “It’s like ‘Oh my God, they’re looking into my mouth!’ It’s like going to the dentist.”

Some new images have appeared online and they appear to be concept art for the new and improved Megatron that will appear in Transformers 2. The pictures show Megatron in a new vehicle mode, now resembling a Cybertronian tank.

Walmart have kept to their part of the deal and have released another video from the set of Transformers 2. This time we see filming from day 28 where Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are getting protected from the sun during a break from filming. Because Megan Fox is a lot hotter than Shia she gets more crew members defending her from the sunlight, as you will see from the video below:

According to AICN a trailer for Transformers 2 will be attached to JJ Abrams‘ Star Trek which will be released next May. Before you punch a hole in the nearby wall and scream ‘That’s months away!!!‘ I would like to point out that the trailer attached to Star Wars will be a full one, and we will be getting a teaser trailer before the end of the year (Some expect it to be attached to Eagle Eye which comes out in October).

TFW2005 have received confirmation that the combiner Devastator will appear in Transformers 2. The confirmation includes the following details:

- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously Long Haul concept art (image below) by Josh Nizzi is legit

Devastator will be one of many new robots in the sequel. New robots include Autobot “Twins” who transform into an ice cream van, an Autobot Chevrolet Trax; a Autobot Chevrolet Corvette; an Audi R8; a Frenzy-like character; and robots who can transform into weapons.

As part of its promo for the upcoming Transformers DVD (the boxes with the Bumblebee mask, the Optimus Prime mask, and the Transforming Megatron), Wal-Mart are showing behind-the-scenes videos from the set of Transformers 2.

The first video you’ll see is footage from the first day of filming at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the second video shows how ILM created the robots in the first film.

You can’t expect a Michael Bay film, especially a Transformers film, not to contain explosions. As they are currently filming Transformers 2 in a city, there are plenty of people with cameras ready to capture the footage for our viewing pleasure. No Megan Fox or Shia LaBeouf, just good old explosions. Transformers Live got a great collection of explosive videos taken from the set, and a few impressive ones can be seen below.

Some new set images of Megan Fox strutting her stuff on the set of Transformers 2 have appeared online over at Cinematical. Oh…Shia LaBeouf is in a couple of them too. I’m not sure what they were filming but it appears that Shia’s hand injury has been included in the script, and is now part of the movie. In the images you can see his hand is bandaged up, and it looks like they have made it look worse than it actually is, with the addition of fake blood.

If you look closely at one of the hands Megan is clenching her breasts with, you will notice a ring. (I didn’t notice that, a Cinematical reader did) Could it be a engagement ring, or is it just a normal ring?

Entertainment Tonight and Film School Rejects are reporting that Shia LaBeouf will be returning to the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today following his recent accident. It was originally though that his injury would prevent him from filming Transformers 2 for a month.

Shia and his passenger/co-star Isabel Lucas were hit in the early morning hours of July 27 by another driver who had run a red light in Los Angeles. LaBeouf underwent surgery on his hand to repair damage caused by the accident. Reports in late July said that it would take a month before LaBeouf would be back on set, but that appears not to be the case.

There has been talk that Michael Bay would somehow work the injury into the script, so we will have to see if that is the case.
