Coolness: I Am Legend/Home Alone Trailer

Being a huge fan of trailer mash-ups I intend to post every cool one that I get sent or stumble across. This time it is the I Am Legend trailer mixed with footage from Home Alone.

Thinking about it now Home Alone is just a kid friendly version of I Am Legend, apart from the killing machines in Legend are replaced by pesky robbers who should be on the sex offenders register.

Thanks to Steve for emailing me this.

Wrath of the Lich King Trailer

A cinematic trailer for the next World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, has been released. But what the hell has this got to do with movies? Well, in 2006 Legendary Pictures (the production company behind 300, The Dark Knight, Watchmen and Ninja Assassin) teamed up with Blizzard and announced their intentions to make a live-action World of Warcraft movie. However, since then we haven’t heard anything about it. On August 2nd the status on it’s IMDB page was updated to ‘Pre-Production’ but there have been no official announcements. So far it looks like the planned 2009 release date will not be met, however if the movie ends up looking anything like the trailer below, it could be epic.

What Just Happened? Trailer

The trailer for What Just Happened? starring Robert De Niro, John Turturro, Stanley Tucci, Catherine Keener, Moon Bloodgood, Kristen Stewart and Bruce Willis is now online.

It looks okay, nothing special. The best part is that Bruce Willis plays a fat, bearded version of himself.

Another Mutant Chronicles Trailer

In July we got a trailer for Mutant Chronicles that was in Russian and not the best quality. Now we have the same trailer but in English and it is in smooth Hi-Def.

The Mutant Chronicles has an interesting cast including Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, Devon Aoki, Sean Pertwee, Benno Fürmann, John Malkovich and Steve Toussaint. It will be released in Russia this week, however there’s no word on when it will be released elsewhere.

Madagascar: Escape to Africa Trailer

A second trailer for Madagascar: Escape to Africa has appeared online. The sequel reunites Ben Stiller, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jada Pinkett Smith and David Schwimmer who are back to voice their animated mammals. This time they manage to leave Madagascar but end up in the wilderness of Africa. Don’t worry, they will return home one day! (Most likely Madagascar 3)

The Princess And The Frog Teaser Trailer

There are two main things going for this movie. The first is that it is Disney’s first 2D film since Home on the Range in 2004, and the second is that it is the first time Disney have had a black princess as the lead character.

Up until this point that was all I knew about that The Princess and the Frog, and thanks to the newly released teaser trailer that is still all I know about it. Oh, apart from that it is set in New Orleans, and the only reason I know that is because some dude is singing about it in the teaser.

The Princess And The Frog will be released in December 2009.

The Wolfman Footage

Comic Con has been over a couple of days now but the footage is still coming in from those sneaky people with recording devices!

At The Wolfman panel Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt and Rick Baker were there to talk about the movie, then the trailer was shown. It is dark, gothic and rather refreshing to see something different with no explosions in sight.

The Wolfman will be out in April 2009 and the cast includes Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving and Anthony Hopkins.

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince Trailer!

A new dark trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has worked it’s way online. The trailer focuses on the origin story of Tom Riddle, who grows up to become Lord Voldermort, and it can be seen below!

Coolness: Watchmen vs Heroes

One of the best trailers I have seen in a long while is for Watchmen (you can watch it again here). So any fan made attempts or trailer mash-ups of it will interest me hugely. The one below is probably the best I have seen. It was made by DrewboiX and uses footage from Heroes and the music from the Watchmen trailer.

Enjoy!

Up Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer for Pixar’s Up has ballooned its way online.

If you are currently thinking ‘What the hell does he mean ballooned? Is he some kind of but job who has a balloon fetish or something’ then fear not, all will be explained if you watch the video below.

In this “coming of old age” story, a seventysomething hero, alongside his clueless wilderness ranger sidekick, travels the globe, fighting beasts and villains, and eating dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon.
