A website that goes by the name of INF got their hands on our first look at Mia Wasikowska on set as Alice, from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. The filming took place in Cornwall, England, and just yesterday it was confirmed that Johnny Depp would be playing The Madd Hatter.

Some images from the Toronto set of Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass have appeared online over at SlashFilm
“Coming back from a Jays game happen to catch what appeared to be 2nd Unit for Kick-Ass. Didn’t see Matthew Vaughn on site. They seemed to be shooting the opening shots of the movie. The camera starts off facing the wrecked taxi and ends up on a close up of the license plate that reads ‘Kick-Ass’ Here are the shots taken with my Iphone.”
It seems Vaughn is keeping faithful to the comics as the set images look almost identical to the comic book panels.

MarketSaw got their hands on a new image from the set of James Cameron’s Avatar, although this is no ordinary image…it’s a HD image! The image gives us a good look at what all of this revolutionary 3D motion capture stuff looks like during filming. We see an actor in a motion capture suit, and we also see horses with dots all over them. (They are probably there so that Cameron can turn them into alien beasts in post-production)

As part of its promo for the upcoming Transformers DVD (the boxes with the Bumblebee mask, the Optimus Prime mask, and the Transforming Megatron), Wal-Mart are showing behind-the-scenes videos from the set of Transformers 2.
The first video you’ll see is footage from the first day of filming at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the second video shows how ILM created the robots in the first film.
Korben.info have posted a bunch of photos of the Prince of Persia sets currently being constructed in Morocco. The site is in a non-english language so we don’t know any details, although it is rather cool to see these big sets being used. Click the image below to see the rest!
Prince of Persia is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina. The shooting in Morocco started at the beginning of July and the movie is expected to be released on May 28, 2010.
You can’t expect a Michael Bay film, especially a Transformers film, not to contain explosions. As they are currently filming Transformers 2 in a city, there are plenty of people with cameras ready to capture the footage for our viewing pleasure. No Megan Fox or Shia LaBeouf, just good old explosions. Transformers Live got a great collection of explosive videos taken from the set, and a few impressive ones can be seen below.
G4 were invited on the set of Zak Snyder’s Watchmen, and luckily for us they took a camera with them. We get to see a few sets, storyboards and Rorschach unmasked!

TheBadandUgly.com have posted some new and potentially spoileriffic images from the set of the third season of Heroes. The images show Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) and Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) looking rather…different. They also have a set report about how the season starts and an interesting painting of Earth, which again contains spoilers.
