Transformers 2 release date moved forward 2 days

According to ComingSoon Paramount Pictures have moved the release date of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen up two days to June 24th in the US.

The full teaser trailer should be infront of movie screenings tomorrow, but it isn’t expected to hit the net until a week later. Expect Youtubed bootlegs.

Wolverine gets earlier release date

According to Den of Geek the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been moved forward a few days.

The original plan was for the film to get its release on Friday 1st May, but thanks to a quick shuffle of the schedules, it’s now moved into April.
The new date that you need to mark in your diaries is Wednesday 29th April 2009.

This isn’t a big shift and a small change in date is quite common (just like reshoots). The following weekend Star Trek is released so Fox will be trying to get more $$$ before the other summer players show themselves. Considering the future direction of the X-Men franchise depends on the success or failure of Wolverine, this is a good move.

Update: This may only be the case in the UK.

Tentative Spider-Man 4 Release Date!

Spider-Man 4 has a new tentative release date, but don’t expect it anytime soon. According to Spider-Man executive producer Laura Ziskin, the web-slinger should be back in theaters in May… of 2011.

In remarks Thursday to theater owners from California and Nevada, Ziskin said there was no finished screenplay, but that she and Sony Pictures were hopeful “Spider-Man 4” could be ready in three years’ time.
The first three movies comprise one of the most successful franchises in modern Hollywood history, grossing a combined $2.5 billion worldwide. Neither star Tobey Maguire nor director Sam Raimi is yet committed to work on the next installment. But Sony has paid Marvel to renew its rights.

Hopefully, the extra time to think and plot will help make a better movie that SM3!
