Second Ninja Assassin TV spot

There’s just over a month until Ninja Assassin will be released and Warner Bros. are starting to marketing the film to ‘everyone else’ who isn’t already aware of it thanks to the internet. Below is a second TV spot and it contains lots of chains, fire and ninja stuff.

The trailer we got two months ago has already convinced me that I will be seeing Ninja Assassin at some point during it’s opening weekend, so all of these mini-trailers are just bonuses.

According to the current poll 46% of Filmonic readers have Ninja Assassin as their most anticipated film for the rest of 2009, so based on that fact I think there will be a few people who may like this. It’s the Ninja Assassin trailer… but lego-ized. I have no idea how they did it and I’m sure it took a while, however it’s quite amazing. Watch below!

Two new images from James McTeigue’s Ninja Assassin have appeared online. Both feature Korean singer-turned-actor Rain looking badass, and both contain fire, making the new images even more hardcore.

Ninja Assassin trailer arrives!

We finally have a trailer for Ninja Assassin, and it doesn’t disappoint! For a few months it looked like Warner Bros. were unsure when to release the film and how to market it, however they then set a November 25th release date and this first trailer shows they sure as hell know how to market it. Watch below!

Warner Bros have finally chosen a solid release date for the Wachowski brothers Ninja Assassin. According to Dark Horizons:

Ninja Assassin
The James McTiegue-directed action-thriller starring Korean pop messiah Rain has been scheduled for November 25th 2009

That is 5 days after The Twilight Saga’s New Moon is released, so hopefully it won’t be consumed by the vampire frenzy. The new release date means we probably won’t be getting a trailer for a while, so it looks like we’ll have to wait before we get our first look.

Final Wolverine trailer tomorrow. Ninja Assassin trailer Friday?

MTV will have the final X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer tomorrow at 12pm EST (5pm GMT). Below is a sneak peak (note that Gambit now has his trademark red eyes. Fanboys rejoice)

There are also rumblings that we will finally get our first look at Ninja Assassin, with a trailer expected in front of Watchmen. Both are Warner Bros. films so it makes sense.

It appears we finally have a release date for Ninja Assassin! According to Fandango the movie will be released on June 1st 2009, which means we have around 4 months to go. Hopefully this means we will see a trailer for this sometime soon.

We haven’t heard that much about Ninja Assassin recently. The release date was thought to be January 2009 but according to producer Joel Silver that was never the case. Yesterday Warner Bros. revealed their 2009 line-up which featured Ninja Assassin, however no date was specified. Apparently lead actor Rain is involved in some legal trouble and they don’t want to be releasing the movie while he is busy in court. Nevertheless, a cool new video showing Rain training and practising his stunts has Youtubed it’s way online. It is VERY impressive. Who would have thought Rain was just a popstar from South Korea?

Michael Straczynski Wrote The Ninja Assassin Script In 53 Hours

Michael Straczynski, writer of Clint Eastwood’s Changeling staring Angelina Jolie, recently spoke to AMC about how he came to write the script for Ninja Assassin for the Wachowski Brothers.

Q: You seem insanely busy.
A: You don’t know the half of it. About a month and a half ago I got a call from the Wachowski Brothers. I met with them and they had a draft for this movie called Ninja Assassin, which wasn’t at all where they wanted it to be. And they said, “We need a whole new script, and we go to camera in six weeks.” So I went home and put on a pot of coffee, and I wrote essentially a whole new script in 53 hours. When a friend calls you and says they’re in trouble, you do what you have to.
