In July we got a trailer for Mutant Chronicles that was in Russian and not the best quality. Now we have the same trailer but in English and it is in smooth Hi-Def.

The Mutant Chronicles has an interesting cast including Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, Devon Aoki, Sean Pertwee, Benno Fürmann, John Malkovich and Steve Toussaint. It will be released in Russia this week, however there’s no word on when it will be released elsewhere.

We got our first look at Mutant Chronicles the other day. It looked good but not amazing…it lacked something. Thankfully that something is here in the Russian trailer. You wont be able to understand anything they are saying but when you have herds of disfigured mutants and explosions who cares about speech?

The trailer for Mutant Chronicles has finally made its way online. I’ve been following this movie for a while so I’m glad we finally have a trailer. AICN say:

Tom Jane and Perlman say this flick is something they’re proud of. I’ve talked to both of them about stuff they’ve done and they’ve been completely unfiltered about their opinion, having been very blunt about bad experiences and bad films in their filmography

It’s good they are proud of it because it does look dark and interesting, but then again Halle Berry was proud of Catwoman. It is obvious the movie didn’t have the biggest budget but that doesn’t mean it wont be a treat.

We have yet to get a trailer or release date for Mutant Chronicles, but we do have a new poster. The body and jaw belongs to actress Devon Aoki, best known for slashing people in to death in Sin City.

The Mutant Chronicles, directed by Simon Hunter and starring Thomas Jane, John Malkovich, Devon Aoki, Ron Perlman, and Luis Echegaray is loosely based on the RPG, the story is set 400 years into the future (23rd or 24th century), where nearly everything is powered by steam, and mankind has exhausted Earth’s natural resources. Four corporations have taken over the world in which they are constantly at war with one another, the Bauhaus, the Mishima, the Capitol and the Imperial Corporations.

Stills for upcoming sci-fi The Mutant Chronicles have appeared online. These are the first we have seen of the film, and they don’t look too bad, at least it has a good cast. The film has took a spear out of 300‘s book and have used green/blue screen a great deal, which has reduced the cost of making, but alters the end result. I will not judge a film on stills alone, so I will wait for the trailer before I judge. Some stills can be seen below, and more over at Omelete
