Shia Back Filming Transformers

Shia LaBeoufEntertainment Tonight and Film School Rejects are reporting that Shia LaBeouf will be returning to the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today following his recent accident. It was originally though that his injury would prevent him from filming Transformers 2 for a month.

Shia and his passenger/co-star Isabel Lucas were hit in the early morning hours of July 27 by another driver who had run a red light in Los Angeles. LaBeouf underwent surgery on his hand to repair damage caused by the accident. Reports in late July said that it would take a month before LaBeouf would be back on set, but that appears not to be the case.

There has been talk that Michael Bay would somehow work the injury into the script, so we will have to see if that is the case.

Transformers 2 Opens With A Big Twist

Director Michael Bay told Entertainment Weekly that there will be huge twist at the beginning of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

“You’re just not going to believe the first 12 minutes!” Bay told EW. “It’s a twist in itself!”

My guess is that Megatron comes back as a toaster, and his revenge on Sam Witwicky for shoving that cube in his chest is to burn his toast…DUN DUN DUN!

What If Michael Bay Wrote The Dark Knight?

Bruce: We hack the internet.
Alfred: Hack the internet?
Bruce: Yes, hack the internet.
General: No one’s ever hacked the internet before.
Bruce: Well, there’s a first time for everything.
General: Okay, I like it. But which one of the internets do we hack?
Bruce: All of them.”

Sound like a Michael Bay film? Wait, there’s more!

“We pan to a beautiful woman: platinum blonde with a huge rack. She is the hottest woman in the world, but she wears glasses because she is also the smartest woman in the world.”

That is a description of Rachel Dawes, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal in the soon to be released Dark Knight. These golden nuggets of humour come from Michael Bay’s version of The Dark Knight…which Michael Bay did not write. Spill.com did. Although, they do capture the spirit of a Michael Bay film. Lots of nonsense, good looking females and explosions. Oh and cars.

Megan Fox Talks Transformers 2

In a new interview, Megan “Just Look Hot” Fox talks about the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

“As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts,” she told [MTV] about “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. “Shia and I make out a little bit; I don’t know if anyone wants to see that.”

Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it.

Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns.

“You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike,” she explained. “And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in.”

“I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic places,” she added. “It’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.”

As for Michael Bay’s main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: “His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.”

Sounds like she’s in for an easy paycheck!

I don’t know about everyone else, but I didn’t mind the Sam/Mikaela storyline in the first film.  And it would only be natural to continue developing it for the second one.

Can’t wait to see 10 times the explosions, though!

P.S. Shia, we all hate you right now.

Transformers 2 Set Report: Bumblebee, Isabel Lucas And More!

Some lucky person had Michael Bay, Shia LaBoeuf and company filming outside of his window two nights ago, and he took some photos and video footage to prove it!

One scene involved Bumblebee racing down the street doing 180’s and making skid marks on the road.

In another scene /film report:

Later that night they filmed a scene where Isabel Lucas storms away from Bumblebee (in alt mode) after saying something to Sam through the passenger’s side window, leaving Shia LaBoeuf to talk to (or possibly yell at?) the car. Not exactly sure how this fits into the scene, but they were squirting this glowing green goo on Lucas. And yes, that is Michael Bay directing Shia and Isabel in the photo below.

Megan Fox Says She Will Transform In Transformers 2!

meganfoxtransformers2

Forget Optimus Prime and the rest of the tin cans! It’s Megan Fox who will be stepping up and transforming in Transformers 2. The actress who recently said ‘I’d rather have sex all the time than leave the house.’ spoke to MTV about the sequel.

…returning cast members will now get a chance to go further with their characters than they did in the original. Shia LaBeouf will be in college (and taught by Rainn Wilson). But forget transforming robots or finals angst, Megan Fox smiled, the real transformation is yet to come.

“In this one I transform from a girl into a woman,” she laughed.

I don’t entirely know what that means but I guess we will find out.

Right, I’ll be honest here. That wasn’t the main Transformers news, I just wanted a reason to post a picture of Megan Fox. The real main news is that director Michael Bay has said that Transformers 2 will not just be a movie that leads onto Transformers 3. We have had sequels in the past such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest, that are entertaining movies in there own right but they are just bridges for the inevitable third movie.

Because it’s friggin “lame,” “Transformers” director Michael Bay insisted to us at the MTV Movie Awards, telling MTV News that the second go-round with Optimus Prime would be entirely self-contained.

“You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? ["Transformers 2”] is it,” he said, indicating that “2” would be its own story free from the duel shackles of set-up or resolution. “First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”

“The robots are going to surprise a lot of people because we go with a lot of different levels,” he teased.

Michael Bay Gets Kicks From Confusing Fans Over Transformers 2

michael bay

Transformers director Michael Bay has updated his blog, which reads as follows:

Dear Transformer Fans,

As you may know, last time a number of things happened during the making of Transformers. One of which was a script leak that let you all know what was going to happen in the film. This time we are more prepared. I am going to tell you that everything you read about Transformers 2 may be false, so that if the script leaks again you will not believe it. Mwah!

Sincerely,

Michael

That was not what he said at all…I just made that up.

Here is what he actually said:

Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other then we are shooting in Philly) is false. We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone -

Michael

So beware Transformer fans, there may be some bullshit going around the internets! (Or it may actually be true, but because we are told it may be false we may think it is bullshit)

Rosemary’s Baby Remake

Rosemary's BabyAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, a remake of the 1968 classic Rosemary’s Baby is in the works, and will be produced by none other than Michael Bay (who is also in the process of remaking other horror classics Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Birds), along with his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller.  The deal is in the works with Rosemary’s original studio, Paramount.

Based on the best-selling novel by Ira Levin (”The Stepford Wives”), the story follows a young couple who move into a gothic New York apartment, where they are befriended by their elderly neighbors. After the woman becomes mysteriously pregnant, she discovers that the neighbors actually are part of a coven of witches and that her husband has allowed her to be impregnated by the devil in exchange for a successful career.

No writer or director has been attached to the movie as of yet.

Micheal Bay Talks Transformers 2 And Possible SAG Strike!

The writers strike is well and truly over, so now life can continue as normal, movies can be made and we can all look forward to them and live happily ever after. However, like a good (or bad) M. Night Shyamalan film, there is always something coming that will either take you by surprise, or make you roll your eyes and sigh ‘not again’. In this case it is the latter. The possibility of a Screen Actors Guild Strike has been lingering over Hollywood, and especially Micheal Bay, for some time. From SHH:

“If there is a strike, we shut down, but shutting down isn’t that big a deal,” Bay told the trade. “You make accommodations, you make a deal with vending houses on equipment and on the stages where you are shooting. You hope for the best, but you can’t be incapacitated by the possibility that there will be a strike. We’ve got to get this town back to work. I can’t imagine anyone wants another strike, we’re all tired. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail.”

Bay said that the sequel is still recovering from the writers strike, and that he’s playing catch-up after getting back his trio of writers, Ehren Kruger, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

“They did a detailed outline before the writer’s strike, and now they are in Michael Bay jail, holed up in a hotel and working feverishly,” Bay said. “We’re paying for a beautiful suite and they are getting a lot of work done. Hiring three writers was unusual, but it has been a godsend in getting us to where we need to be. Somehow you find a way to get it done.”

Transformers 2 has been trying to climb its way up the pre-production hill for a while now, and with the writers strike over it seemed that struggle was at an end. I really hope the actors don’t go on strike, as it would just makes things worse for the Transformers gang. Actors get paid enough as it is anyway, they have no reason to strike! I wont allow it!

Shia LaBeouf Says Transformers 2 Will Be Massive!

Shia LaBeoufHaving just posted the Indian Jones trailer, and now this, I have realised that Shia LaBeouf is one lucky bastard! He has become buddies with one of the best directors in the business, Steven Spielberg, and has been in practically every cool movie Spielberg has done since! I wouldn’t be surprised if LeBeouf makes an appearance in Jurassic Park 4 or even Spielberg’s Abraham Lincoln movie. Anyway, now the strike is over they can get to work on Transformers 2. Director Michael Bay has already said that he has written the script for the movie, and will hand it over to his writers to finish. Now Shia has talked to Empire about what we can expect in the robot sequel.

“I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one,” said LaBeouf. “I’ve seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It’s going to be bad-ass. We’re not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he’s doing insane shit again. And the pre-vizes that I’ve seen… it’s just massive. If the first one was any indicator of how massive massive can be, this is going to blow that out of the water. It’s insane. Mike’s mind was just kind of made for this — it’s amazing. There’s going to be a lot more characterisation with the robots, which I’m excited about. I was a fan of Transformers before the movie came out. And there’s going to be a lot of action…That goes unsaid, I guess”.

“There’s gonna be new robots on both sides. I can say that the war isn’t over… It’s hard to do interviews when you’re not allowed to talk about the movies. It’s like I give two or three things away and then I get reprimanded for it. It’s never fun to get reprimanded by these people”.
