Variety report that the man who played Seamus O’Grady in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle will be writing the script for Iron Man 2. Justin Theroux wrote the script for upcoming Tropic Thunder which stars Robert Downey Jr, so it’s assume he put in a good word for Theroux over at Marvel.

The first film was written by Mark Fergus, Hawk Ostby, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, so chances are that at some point someone else will be brought onboard for rewrites

Variety also say that Marvel are close to a deal with director Jon Favreau and main man Robert Downey Jr. If all goes well we should be seeing Iron Man 2 in April 2010!
