Anchor Bay Films have released the first trailer for crime-thriller Texas Killing Fields, which is directed by Ami Canaan Mann (daughter of Michael Mann) and stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chloe Moretz.

The movie follows a local homicide detective (Worthington) in a small Texan town and his partner, a transplanted cop from New York City (Morgan) as they track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call ‘The Killing Fields.’

The killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When a familiar local girl, Anne (Moretz) goes missing the detectives find themselves in a race against time to find the killer and save her life.

Texas Killing Fields will have a limited release on October 7th, 2011.

I take it this poster was made before the recent casting announcement of Captain America. As you can see below, Chris Evans has been reduce to a small cube on the latest poster for The Losers. It could be the case that his role isn’t that big compared to Zoe Saldana and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but that doesn’t usually matter when marketing is concerned.

The Losers follows a Special Forces team betrayed by its handler and left for dead. The “losers” regroup in the interest of revenge, the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list and to conduct covert operations against the CIA and its interest.

The film will be released on April 23rd in the US and April 9th, and stars Zoe Saldana, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short and Holt McCallany.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for The Losers online. The film looks a bit similar to The A-Team, and follows a Special Forces team betrayed by its handler and left for dead. The “losers” regroup in the interest of revenge, the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list and to conduct covert operations against the CIA and its interest.

It’s good that the world finally has a chance to see Zoe Saldana kicking ass with very little clothing in non-Na’vi form. As well as Saldana the cast includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Holt McCallany, and is directed by Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard).

I’d gathered from the Watchmen trailer that is wasn’t going to be the feel good movie of the year, however I didn’t expect it so dark that it would give the actors a hard time.

RopesOfSilicon spoke to Jeffrey Dean Morgan about his role as The Comedian:

“Getting into the heads of these characters was kind of an ordeal. The actions of The Comedian are brutal sometimes.” He continued, “This is stuff that’s a little different than anything I have ever done, and it was stuff that I had a hard time with. There are a couple of things The Comedian does, and I never ever in a million years thought there was something I would have to think twice about, as an actor, but I could make no excuses for it. There were a couple of rough days of filming where I was just like, ‘This is tough.’”
