A new dark trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has worked it’s way online. The trailer focuses on the origin story of Tom Riddle, who grows up to become Lord Voldermort, and it can be seen below!
Its nothing much. It’s a 15 second teaser of the full teaser that was shown before The Dark Knight in some IMAX theatres.
A few days ago it was announced that we would get trailers for Terminator Salvation and Watchmen with Warner Bros. The Dark Knight. Most if not all Potter fans were unhappy seeing as though Terminator and Watchmen don’t come out until next year, yet they are getting teasers before Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which comes out in November.
Well good news for them. They may still get to see something…even if it only lasts 15 seconds. ComingSoon.net say:
It looks like moviegoers who go see it in IMAX, however, might just get a super brief glimpse at the sixth installment. Scooper ‘Renata’ contacted IMAX who told her that there will be a 15 second teaser for “Half-Blood Prince.” Our guess is that it’s just announcing that the movie is coming to IMAX as well.
Will Potter fans go to see The Dark Knight in IMAX just for a 15 second glimpse?
The trailer for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game may not show film footage, but it could show some things that we may see in the actual film. The game will come out in November, around the same time as the film.

Daniel Radcliffe spoke to Empire magazine about the sixth movie, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. He told them about a swarm of undead creatures who guard an item that Harry needs to defeat Voldermort, which will turn up in the third act of the movie.
“They’re horrible,” Says the boy wizard Daniel Radcliffe of the beings who look like humans made of only skin and bone and want to get their hands on Harry. “They made me think of bodies from concentration camps. It’s that terrible look of a body that’s wasted away, but not a skeleton. There will be child inferi too. They’re probably the most frightening things of any of the movies so far”.
Director David Yates also spoke about the opening scene.
“We’re opening with a big attack,” director David Yates told Empire when we visited the set. “It’s talked about in the book, but we’re going to show it. We’ll bring a major London landmark crashing down. It should be quite spectacular”.
I haven’t read the book but i’m guessing it is either Big Ben or the London Eye that gets attacked. Which one is it Potter fans?

A new image from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game has been released on the Electronic Arts Russian website. The new pic shows Harry looking into the pensieve with Dumbledore looking on over his shoulder. The game will be released later this year, around the time of the movie’s release.
J.K. Rowling has written and is auctioning off for charity an 800-word prequel to the fabulous Harry Potter series!
WTF?
Yes, unfortunately I DID say an 800-word prequel, not an 800-page prequel. (Sorry to everyone who just had a mild heart-attack!) And it’s squeezed onto the front and back of an A5 sheet of paper (slightly bigger than a postcard). Jo was asked to take part in the charity event, which will benefit the writers’ association English PEN and Dyslexia Action charities, along with twelve other authors and illustrators.
The short story will be viewable online and at the Waterstones stores (UK) starting tomorrow, June 11. All postcards will be featured in a book, which is available for pre-order here.
Does this mean that Jo has a prequel in mind for us? Alas, no. She finished off the short story with the words “From the prequel I am not working on — but that was fun!” Damn!

At least we still have three more movies to look forward to, as well as a Harry Potter Encyclopedia (written by Jo, once THIS is all over!). Principle photography on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is finally over, and post-production work - including editing and CGI work - is well under way! Stay tuned for the HBP trailer, which should be online in the coming month (hopefully)!

Has anyone ever played the game The Movies? Well if you haven’t, you basically take on the role of head of a new movie studio and you place sets, hire actors, crew and organise the place. Well after watching the video below I got flashbacks from playing that game a few years ago. I just placed sets wherever I pleased and didn’t care about paths, organisation or the environment, and it seems the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince crew don’t either.
