Yesterday we heard that Halle Berry may be teaming up with The Wachowskis for Cloud Atlas in the summer, but we will next be seeing the actress in indie Frankie and Alice which will be having a limited run in mid-December. The movie is seen as a comeback for Berry, who hasn’t been in a movie since Things We Lost in the Fire in 2007 (she took time out to have a child).

Now the first official trailer has been released, and there is a chance Berry could be joining the Best Actress Oscar race with Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence and Annette Bening. In the movie, which is based on a true story, Berry plays a woman with multiple personality disorder who seeks help from a doctor in the form of Stellan Skarsgård (Thor).

We saw a shot of a young Storm in the recent X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer, and now the actress who played the grown up Storm in the X-trilogy has been snapped on the set of her next movie. In Frankie and Alice Halle Berry plays a young woman with multiple personality disorder who struggles to remain her true self and not give in to her racist alter-personality. Halle does in fact play both Frankie and Alice. From the looks of things Halle plays a hooker, although the movie is set in the 70′s so I’m not 100% sure.
