Last week we got a new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception, however it was in French so the majority of people couldn’t understand what was being said. Add the fact that we know next to nothing about the film, we ended up watching a trailer for a movie we know nothing about in a language we couldn’t understand.

Luckily for us Warner Bros. has released the trailer in English, yet despite the addition of the English language we are still none the wiser on what the movie involves, apart from bending skyscrapers and trains running wild down busy streets. It does look amazing though.

Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy and Michael Caine, and will be released next July.

Just over a week ago we learned that a new trailer for Inception would be appearing in front of Avatar, and now MakingOf have debuted a French trailer for Christopher Nolan’s ‘wtf’ movie. While the English version has yet to be released, it’ll probably be similar to this one which features buildings being rolled up and a train thundering down a busy street.

I know I’ll be stating the obvious here but if you look above you’ll see Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page kissing. The incident took place during a photoshoot for one of those women’s magazines, where both actresses were interviewed about their upcoming film Whip it!

“[Meeting Drew] was a surreal moment for me in my life,” Ellen said. “You could just feel her warmth and kindness immediately, and the way she carried herself was just so grounded. So then it was like, ‘Oh, this is going to be great.’ And then it went into, ‘Oh, my God, I’m really crazy about this person.’ It just grew and grew and grew and grew and grew.”

Obviously it’s nice to look at and it’s good to see the two have…bonded, but i’m in two minds about how to take it. There aren’t that many female directors around and there’s a constant push in Hollywood to try and get more woman behind the camera. Drew Barrymorre, a female, has directed her first movie and has basically used her sexuality to promote it. Is this a cheap move by the pair to get press? Are they just playing the whole media game? Is it professional to be smooching your director and co-star for a magazine? Or is it just harmless fun?

The trailer for Whip It! has appeared online over at Yahoo! The film stars Ellen Page as a rebellious teenager who signs up to play the brutal roller-derby against her mother’s will, finding friendship and freedom among the bruises and falls. This is Drew Barrymore’s first outing as director, and it doesn’t look that bad. Watch the trailer below!

USA Today received the first image from Whip It, which is Drew Barrymore’s first outing as director. She also stars in the film alongside Ellen Page.

Roller-derby comedy Whip It, stars Ellen Page as a rebellious teenager who signs up to play the brutal and sexy female sport against her mother’s will, finding friendship and freedom among the bruises and falls.

The movie was directed by Drew Barrymore, who has been producing films for years (Donnie Darko, the Charlie’s Angels movies) but finally decided to get directly behind the camera. Working with Steven Spielberg on E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and others on her many films as an adult, Barrymore learned that directing calls upon a lifetime of experiences. “Everything I’ve learned throughout my whole life has been going into this piggy bank, and I just smashed it all over the floor for this one,” she says.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy are in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan’s Inception. All three are great actors and would be great additions to Nolan’s sci-fi flick. Ellen Page, as we know, is a rising talent following Hard Candy and Juno, Cotillard won Best Actress award at last years Oscar’s and Cillian Murphy is a good friend of Nolan’s, having been in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

“Inception” is described as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within “the architecture of the mind.” In keeping with most things associated with Nolan’s project, the secrecy extends to the character descriptions.

James Franco was in talks to join the project but had to bow out due to a scheduling conflict with Universal’s comedy “Your Highness.” Nolan and the studio are aiming for a summer shoot ahead of a 2010 release

“‘Peacock’ stunned me as a script from start to finish,” Murphy said. “It offers an incredible challenge to an actor — one I couldn’t turn down.” Page added, “This is one of the boldest screenplays I’ve come across in my albeit short career; it’s a character and story I can throw myself into and exactly the type of movie I love to be a part of.”

Cillian Murphy is best known for his roles in 28 Days Later, Batman Begins and Sunshine. Having seen him in all three, I cannot wait to see what he does in Peacock. I always like a psychological thriller to get the old cogs in my head turning.

Peacock will be directed by newcomer Michael Lander, who co-wrote the script with another newcomer Ryan Roy. However, the fact that they have been able to get these two young talented actors on board speaks volumes.

Sam Raimi has directed a couple of horror movies in the past such as Evil Dead 1 and 2, The Gift and Army Of Darkness and now he is set to direct Drag Me to Hell. Raimi will be returning to the horror genre after spending the last few years directing a small trilogy known as Spiderman. Oscar nominated actress Ellen Page has joined to lead the cast, according to Variety. Ellen has recently stared in Juno and played Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) in X-Men 3. The film is described as ‘a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse’, which I am guessing is Ellen Page. To see Ellen in a horror movie is going to be interesting. We know she can do comedy, drama and action but we haven’t seen that lovely face of hers shriek in fear, and who else better to do that with than Sam Raimi?

Filming will begin in Los Angeles in March.
