We saw 10 seconds of the teaser yesterday, and now Summit Entertainment has released the full teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Watch below:

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Summit Entertainment has announced they are developing a television series based on the 2009 film Push. The film, directed by Paul McGuigan and starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning, was essentially a “superheroes vs. government” story, but stood out because of its slick visuals and fantastic production design.

So why would we be interested in another show so similar to Heroes? Because David Hayter, the writer of Bryan Singer’s X-Men and co-writer of X2 and Watchmen, is writing the pilot episode and will be executive producing the series. The program will be “an extension of the film,” and offers “a broad and rich canvas on which to extend the storyline and characters introduced in the feature film.” You can read the press release in full over at Slashfilm.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the potential for this series. I enjoyed the film probably more than I should have (I’m a sucker for superheroes, and McGuigan’s Lucky Number Slevin is one of my favorite films of the past decade), so I’m interested to see if they can separate themselves from similar subject matter on other channels and do so with a degree of success. ComingSoon.net were sent a few character posters for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The posters show members of the vampire coven known as the Volturi. They are regarded as “royalty” by other vampires because they have lived for well over three thousand years and act as police, enforcing the rule that vampires’ existence remain a secret from humans. Above is Dakota Fanning as Jane, who creates illusions of pain.

According to E! Online Dakota Fanning has been offered a role in New Moon. If the story is accurate and Dakota accepts she will be playing Jane, a member of the Volturi, an Italian group of vampires who maintain vampire order and ensure that humans don’t find out about vampires’ existence.

“There were no auditions,” a source reveals. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.”

I feel as though all of this is beneath Dakota. I feel like she would be taking a step back if she were to play a supporting role in this vampire film. Yes, Twilight made a lot of money but it cannot exactly be classed as a great film. Fanning has been doing some good small drama films recently, to add to films such as War of the Worlds and Man on Fire. Do not accept Dakota! I forbid you!

A new poster for Push has been revealed to the world. When I first saw it I thought Chris Evans was being attacked by 2 giant uneven rainbow boobs, however I then noticed the flying objects in the background and realised that wasn’t the case. The film stars Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle, Djimon Hounsou, Maggie Siff and Scott Michael Campbell and will be released next February.

Push burrows deep into the deadly world of psychic espionage where artificially enhanced paranormal operatives have the ability to move objects with their minds, see the future, create new realities and kill without ever touching their victims.
