I’ve been listening to Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack for more than 2 months now and i’m still not bored of it, but in case some fans are Disney has decided to release a remix album called Tron: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D on April 5th. The album will feature remixes from artists like M83, Photek, Moby, Com Truise, and others.

Myspace has debuted an official music video montage featuring footage from Tron Legacy along with a track composed by Daft Punk. The footage contains a lot of what we’ve seen before in previous trailers, but we do get to see Daft Punk’s cameo. Michael Sheen requests that they “electrify the boys and girls, if you’d be so kind.”

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Tron Legacy will be released by Disney on December 7th, and the movie will be released ten days later on December 17th.

Today Disney has released a track from Daft Punk’s upcoming soundtrack for Tron Legacy. The track is called ‘The Game Has Changed’ and you’ll love it if you’re a fan of the electronic music duo (who also have a cameo in the film).

The official site for the Daft Punk soundtrack (which has a cool track playing in the background) lets you pre-order either a digital copy for $9.99, or a CD version that includes an exclusive Daft Punk film poster and a “new track” for $39.98. The soundtrack was partly recorded at AIR Lyndhurst Studios in London with an orchestra featuring 100 musicians.

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Tron Legacy was originally set to be released on November 22nd, but Disney has pushed the release date back to December 7th.

Someone somewhere deserves a huge pay rise for suggesting electronic music duo Daft Punk compose Tron: Legacy. It will be the first time they have ventured into the world of scoring full movies, but as their style fits so well with the Tron world i’m betting it will be a rather amazing debut.

According to MovieViral Disney Records will be releasing the ‘Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’ for Tron Legacy on November 22nd, which is roughly a month before the actual film is released.

The official site for the Daft Punk soundtrack (which has a cool track playing in the background) lets you pre-order either a digital copy for $9.99, or a CD version that includes an exclusive Daft Punk film poster and a “new track” for $39.98. The soundtrack was partly recorded at AIR Lyndhurst Studios in London with an orchestra featuring 100 musicians.

These promo tracks below have been on YouTube since July. They may or may not feature in the film, but if the whole soundtrack is anything like this i’m definitely buying a copy.

Last week we received the teaser trailer for Tron: Legacy to stimulate our eyeballs, and now we have something to stimulate our ears thanks to the genius that is Daft Punk. Instead of going down the usual orchestral route Disney decided to get the duo to score the music for the film, and you can listen to a track below. No word yet on whether this is the theme tune or just a track from the score.

In other Tron: Legacy news Michael Sheen (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) has joined the cast. His role has not been revealed yet but he is expected to play a baddie.

Update: According to Latino Review this is actually a rework by an artist named Cryda Luv. Sorry about that. Still sounds cool though.

Disney have released the first teaser trailer for the newly titled Tron Legacy. I wasn’t around when the first film came out in 1982 so I didn’t get a ‘geekgasm’ like a few people have experienced, but I still think it looks cool. Getting Daft Punk to score the film is probably the best decision in movie scoring history. A perfect match. Anyway, here’s the teaser below!

Sean Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is the 20-something son of Tron protagonist Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), whose curiosity about his father’s disappearance leads him to the now-abandoned site of Kevin’s old arcade. Inside the old building, Sean is transported into the Computer World and embarks on an adventure in which he learns what has happened to his father, and of the shocking new threat to the Computer World
