Is THIS The Cloverfield Monster?
An image has been floating around the ‘net for a week or so now, and I think it warrants some attention.
Apparently, someone leaked some ‘concept’ art from the preproduction stage of development for Cloverfield. Though it hasn’t been confirmed (or denied), it’s mighty interesting.
Check it out for yourself (click to enlarge):
So what do you think? Yay or no? There was some rumblings about it being a mutated sea creature, and this would fit along with that motif. However, a humpback whale isn’t very terror inspiring, at least to me. Then

Reeves: “You WILL see the Cloverfield monster”
Shock Til You Drop recently sat down with Cloverfield director Matt Reeves, and asked him a few questions about the film. In regards to fans concerns that the choice of ‘hand-held’ camera style would hide the monster, Reeves had this to say:
We wanted this to be as if someone found a Handicam, took out the tape and put it in the player to watch it. What you’re watching is a home movie that then turns into something else. But the other thing I noticed was that the “Blair Witch” guys obviously didn’t have the resources to make a big movie

Cloverfield Jumps On Clip Bandwagon, Does It Best
Hot on the heels of every single other movie releasing some sort of scene, Cloverfield does the same. JJ Abrams, not one to be outdone, takes it a step further…he shows us the first five mintues of the monster’s attack.
Granted, most of this footage we have seen before, but it’s still awesome to see it all in context. Definitely the best of all the clips that were released this week.
It looks fantastic. I can’t wait to see this movie.
For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to get the stupid widget with the clip to embed onto this

Cloverfield and Slusho News!
For me, when it comes to Cloverfield, I’ll report any little bit of news.
Sources are reporting that the film will come in at about 90 minutes. I guess this epic monster yarn isn’t going to be an epic length. That’s probably a good thing.
And, the fictional soft drink Slusho, which has already showed up in this season of Heroes, has a new commercial. Check it out by clicking here (it’s under the CONTEST part).
Trailer: Cloverfield

The second trailer for Cloverfield has finally arrived. Well actually its been wandering around the internet destroying people’s eyes with its bad quality, but now there is a cool HD version thanks to Empire.
A good thing about this trailer is it doesn’t show you the monster. Well I think I saw a small glimpse of it but nothing good enough so I know what it is.That is a good marketing tool by Paramount. People will go an see the flick simply to see what has

Cloverfield Finally Gets Named
For the past few months, JJ Abrams has kept us in the dark. Actually, that’s a lie. The man has been confusing us for years with his projects, such as Alias and Lost.
However, what I’m referring to now is the upcoming giant monster movie that he is producing. Details have been quite scarce about it since we saw the trailer a few months back. All we know is that something tears off the Statue of Liberty’s head, and the movie comes out 1-18-08. Also, mysterious photos and messages keep popping up on the films website, 1-18-08.com. Did you hear
