Deleted Half-Blood Prince scene

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next month (Amazon are currently selling the DVD for $10) and to gear people up Warner Bros. are starting to release some behind the scenes stuff, along with some deleted scenes that didn’t make it into the movie.

The scene below gives us an extended look at the students and professors as the clouds darken before the Death Eaters invasion. I can’t really see why it was cut down, but I’m sure they have their reasons.

Moon Bloodgood’s topless scene from Terminator Salvation

During the months leading up to Terminator Salvation’s release director McG revealed that a scene involving a topless Moon Bloodgood in the rain had been filmed, but there was a chance it wouldn’t make the final cut as they wanted to keep a PG-13 rating. Bloodgood herself described the scene as “a beautiful shot” and under the circumstances her character was in it wasn’t gratuitous, saying “Did you ever just want to get naked and connect to someone? Imagine the world is coming to an end and you just want to connect with someone and you’re like, ‘I don’t care.’”

Well the scene didn’t make it into the film, but it will be on the DVD as a deleted scene. It can also be seen below:

This 5 minute 2012 clip is absolutely crazy

We saw a 50 second preview yesterday and now we have the full 5 minute clip. It’s crazy, it’s over the top and it’s full of CGI. I don’t think there will be a disaster movie in the future that will be able to top this.

It begins with John Cusack driving at high speed in a limo whilst on the phone to the mother of his children. He tells her to “pack up the kids” because “California is going down”. Less than a minute later everyone is in the limo and they are driving away from an earthquake (just like people ran from the cold in The Day After Tomorrow). For the rest of the clip it’s just pure mayhem and a special effects bonanza. You’ll have to watch it to understand what I’m talking about.

Obviously this is one of those big blockbusters that’s main selling point is the special effects. The story and acting will take a back seat, but people will lap it up and it will make a tonne of money. From the clip I got the feeling that the actors were under-acting, but I can understand why. Director Roland Emmerich will have told them the basics, however I don’t even think the actors could imagine what the end result would be.

In this clip below for The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard car salesman extraordinaire Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) recounts the accidental death of his best friend McDermott (Will Ferrell) to his lady friend. The two parties accidentally swapped bags, resulting in Will Ferrell trying to use a dildo to cushion his fall whilst skydiving.

Harry and Dumbledore Half-Blood Prince featurette

If Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released last year when originally intended it would already be out on DVD and Blu-Ray by now, but as it got pushed back 8 months we’ve had 8 months worth of extra marketing. I’ve lost count of how many posters have been release, however I won’t complain about the trailers because they’ve made me a born again Potter fan (I stopped watching after Azkaban but have recently caught up). The Half-Blood Prince marketing guys can finally see the end in sight, and have released a featurette which focuses on Harry and Dumbledore. We also see behind the scenes action and a bucket load of new scenes. Watch below!

This will be the last Half-Blood Prince footage-related post until it is released in two weeks time. Potter fans have waited two years for this, i’m sure they don’t want it spoiling with a barrage of clips days before it is finally released.

Megan Fox vs. foul mouthed robot

I don’t usually like posting clips because I prefer to see the whole film in sequence and the way it was intended, however this new clip from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is too good not to post. In the clip Sam (Shia LaBeouf) tells Mikaela (Megan Fox) that he started seeing symbols after he touched the ‘cube splinter’, meanwhile a small aggressive robot called Wheelie attempts to steal it. Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington vs. The Harvester

Warner Bros have released a 5 minute featurette which shows a scene involving Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) taking on The Harvester, or as director McG puts it “The Harvester attacking humanity”. After the clip we go behind the scenes and see how they filmed it. I usually don’t post clips because I think you should watch the film in it’s entirety, rather than watching 20 minutes worth of the film beforehand in clip format, however this is cool and it is sponsored by Pizza Hut. I like pizza.

New Wolverine clip. Outselling Iron Man

Empire received a clip from X-Men Origins: Wolverine which features a scene between Wolverine and his lady friend Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins). Watch below!

In other Wolverine news, the film is currently outselling Iron Man in tickets 3-to-1:

As of Wednesday, MovieTickets.com is reporting that “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is currently outpacing ticket sales for “Iron Man” 3-to-1 at the same point in the sales cycle (nine days prior to the film’s release).
Both films boast release dates during the first weekend in May during the last two years. “X-Men” releases Friday, May 1, 2009. “Iron Man” released in 2008 on Friday, May 2.”

I guess the leak won’t have as much impact as previously thought.

Cool 9 clip

We haven’t heard or received anything 9 related since we got the trailer back in December. The trailer (click here to watch) was one of the best trailers i’d seen in a long while, and I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it (however for the sake of hilarity I’ll say 9). Now we have a clip to cast our eyes on! In the clip 9 (Elijah Wood) and 7 (Jennifer Connelly) try to fight off a monster, but 7 is taken hostage (where the hell is 3.5 when you need him!?) Watch below!

9 takes place in a world parallel to our own, in which the very legacy of humanity is threatened. A group of sapient rag dolls, living a post-apocalyptic existence find one of their own, 9 (Elijah Wood), who displays leadership qualities that may help them to survive.
The conflicted, but resilient group includes 1 (Christopher Plummer), a domineering war veteran; 2 (Martin Landau), an aged inventor; 5 (John C. Reilly), a stalwart mechanic; 6 (Crispin Glover), a visionary and artist; and 7 (Jennifer Connelly), a brave warrior.

4 Minutes Of Bolt

As it’s Sunday and there’s not a whole lot going on I’d thought I’d post this extended clip of Bolt that came online recently. The clip is from the opening scene and shows Bolt and a girl voiced by Miley Cyrus being chased by bad guys.

In the movie, Bolt is a dog who is the star of an action television series which is part Lassie, part Mission: Impossible. But Bolt doesn’t know he’s a television star, and instead thinks he is a dog infused with super abilities. To get a real performance out of the dog, they stage the stunts and sequences with hidden cameras so that Bolt believes they’re real.

Bolt will be released on November 21st in the US and February 13th in the UK.
