Gravity meets Alien, that’s Life in a nutshell. Now I don’t know about you but that’s more than enough to get me excited about this film. Check out the trailer below.
Now before clicking that play button you should know this is a pretty damn spoilery trailer, much more so than we’ve come to expect from trailers these days. You’ve been warned.
So I guess that’s the movie distilled to roughly two and a half minutes, which is maybe one way to promote your upcoming film. Do I regret watching this trailer? Yes. Am I even more excited now for Life? Again yes, so you could say it did its job. Can’t really fault the studio for trying their best to sell the movie. On the other hand I do wish they’d have a bit more faith in moviegoers, maybe trust that we don’t need to see every last plot point to convince us to watch a movie, especially not in a trailer. Rant aside I’m hoping Life will be as great as it looks like it could be.
Life was directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, of Zombieland and Deadpool fame. Starring in the thriller are Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson.
Life hits theaters starting March 24th in the US and around the world.
