It's a lot more then 1.78 billion Liam, check your source again. First one did 654, second 1066 and the last one 961. So yeah, do the math, Pirates is really really huge.

I have high hopes for this movie… that it'll turn on lots of people to the works of Tim Powers! Seriously, the guy writes great books and I hope this launches interest in making more of his books into novels. EVERY one of them would make an excellent movie!
